Limestone Community High School District #310

Limestone Community School District #310 serves a small portion of the western edge of the City of Peoria (western edges of Wardcliffe and Lexington Hills areas), but mainly serves the suburbs of Bartonville, Bellevue and surrounding towns. It operates Limestone Community High School. It has around 1500 students and is in the Mid-Illini Conference. The "Rockets" of LCHS wear White and Blue and not only field many athletic teams, but also offer many clubs and organizations to engage the mind of the students. Limestone is home to Chicago White Sox slugger Jim Thome (the baseball diamond is named in his honor). Limestone graduated its first class in 1954 and its activities have been a staple in Bartonville social scene ever since.

Bradley University

Bradley University, an independent, privately endowed, coeducational institution, was founded in 1897 as Bradley Polytechnic Institute by Lydia Moss Bradley as a memorial to her children and husband, Tobias.
